The Sixth Week
Busy, busy, busy. When they are five
to six weeks there is so much they have to see and do: going out with the car,
looking at things on the street (in a crate, they are not yet vaccinated), other
dogs like my mom's Vondel and Fescue, realizing the vacuumcleaner doesn't go
away when you bark at it etc. etc. So there is little time to take pictures,
because this all has to happen when I come from work - I am exhausted by now -
but it will pay off in the future, so we just keep on going. I like them to know
and trust cars, before they make their trip to the vet. A lot of dogs hate going
out with the car and I suspect that their maidentrip being a call at the vet is
not helping ... Rune has gone to his new home: that made everything a very
quiet business, but Larousse doesn't seem to mind (as I thought he wouldn't) and
learns how to play gently with such little ones as Glee and Henbane. Larousse is
a big softy and does it all very well. Anyway, he still has his mother to
rough-tumble with. She stays at my moms house for the moment, but she is very
sweet again, gets along perfectly again with Ashop and is sorely missed. She
will return shortly.

Hé, Henbane, come out and play with me!

Glee playing with Henbane ...

...
and with mom.

I'll just try to convince Tryfan to play with me ...

Glee sniffing the
floor and Henbane getting playfull (she sticks out her tongue).

Larousse joins in
in the fun: mind you, there are 4 dogs in this picture! Larousse is standing
behind Ashop, who is lying on the ground (hence you can barely see her), Glee is
playing with Ashop and Henbane tries to bite Larousse's hindlegs.

After all that fun
time to have a drink. Ashop is far less willing to let Glee and Henbane drink
all the time, like Fescue did. They have started eating sollid food
(puppy-pellets made soft by adding water) and they eat like wolverines,
particularly Glee. She is about 990 gram now and Henbane 1190. There is no need
to add canned food or anything like that; they will eat their pellets anyway.

A
closer look. Although Ashop doesn't want to let them drink all the time, she is
a very caring mother ánd she starts to enjoy them by now. She loves playing with
them and they can do just about anything (like walking over her face, stealing
her chewees, biting her legs and tail).

Henbane.

Hello Tryfan, can
you see me?
